SYNOPSIS

Binding, shackles, brakes articulates found-footage and, images that I shot from the window of my flat, both of the city of Dundee (Scotland). Here, the contrast becomes evident between the hustle and bustle of the city of the early 20th century, of a boiling society, under the influence of the industrial revolution: the workers leaving the factory, the intense traffic in the streets, juxtaposed with a present of a dejected city with virtually empty streets, where the work in factories has become something virtual and where the proletariat is replaced by the precariat as a new social subject. All this linked with an experimental soundtrack, which acts as a link between both past and present.
